Mr. Rivera has vast experience in developing, funding, monitoring, and evaluating entrepreneurship development programs, international trade, technology development and commercialization programs throughout the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean.

He is a former official at the U.S. Small Business Administration (District Director, Regional Administrator, Senior Advocate at the Office of the Chief Council for Advocacy); National Director at the U.S. Minority Business Development Agency; and headed the Latin America and Caribbean Bureau at the U.S. Agency for International Development (AID). This position required U.S. Senate Confirmation.

Mr. Rivera has served as a consultant to investment banking firms, federal and local government development agencies, telecommunications firms, and the World Bank.

He recently published an e-Book, Strategic Collaboration Workbook for Entrepreneurs.

Lourdes Aponte-Rosario has over 25 years of experience as an Editor, Corporate Communications Consultant, Social Media and Digital Marketing Coach.

She has developed and provided intensive coaching and training programs for women entrepreneurs, including the authoring of an Business Development Manual for Women (in Spanish).

She is President and Founder of the HISPANIC BUSINESS WOMEN’S ALLIANCE and Publisher of the U.S. Directory of Latina Owned Businesses (over 860 firms included) and has served as co-moderator in radio programs. Also, she has published numerous articles in magazines and newspapers, locally and internationally related to women entrepreneurship, and the need to promote and support the establishment of more women owned businesses. Her outreach efforts have helped forge many business alliances and increased trade among businesswomen.

Lourdes Aponte-Rosario was also the recipient of the prestigious U.S. Small Business Administration Women in Business National Champion Award in 2004.

 

The main purpose of BizSkills.us is to provide a One-Stop Center for persons interested in accessing a wide array of subject matter and types of medium (books, software, videos and audio training programs, apps, and others) that will enable them to develop their business and entrepreneurial skills quickly and in a cost-effective manner.

Principal clients/beneficiaries include: entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs of all ages and backgrounds; business development organizations; educators; employers/human resource officers; trainers; students; and parents.

Beneficiaries and other site visitors will be encouraged to explore the possibility of developing their own entrepreneurial training materials based on their actual experiences, and to share/market them via BizSkills.us.
